The Bach "Philly" C Trumpet is designed around many of the same characteristics that made the Chicago C so famous, but with a standard weight hand hammered bell for a darker rich tone. Based on an original Vincent Bach design from 1947, this trumpet uses a special #25 leadpipe and a #229 yellow brass bell with a classic French bead flat rim. The pairing of these two features, as well a a large .462" bore and narrow main tuning slide provides outstanding projection, capitalizing on the right amount of resistance many players look for in a C trumpet. To improve resonance even further, the Philly Strad C trumpet uses narrower braces at the bell to valve casing and valve cassing to leadpipe connections. Widefoot bell to leadpipe braces provide extra strength for those players worrying about durability. Bach's C180PC also features a 1st slide thumb ring for easier real time tunning adjustments.
